That photo of Lake Minnewanka stands out among all your beautiful photos. Your story and photos have given me my first view of the Canadian Rockies! Thank you for sharing them. I had no idea how stunning they were.

Man, seeing the headwaters of the Columbia must have been like meeting an old friend ... for the first time. I loved this piece, John, one of my favorites ... to this point. What's next?

Thanks, Tim! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was disorienting at first to encounter the river coming out of the Rockies. When we crossed it after leaving Banff NP, I assumed at first that it had to be a different Columbia River entirely. It was exciting to find out I was wrong.

We are done with major trips for 2024, although we have quick one middle of this month to Anza-Borrego. I'm working on a couple pieces to wrap up the year, but planning for next year is getting under way. It will be hard to top this year's adventures, but I intend to try!

Thank you, John! I can so picture when we were there and enjoyed that territory. We, also, took a trail around Lake Minnewanka and passed under the wildlife crossings when we were on the Trans Canadian Highway. We had much better luck at walking around Lake Louise, not the crowds that you and Les encountered. There were people, but we could get around pretty easily. One is not allowed near the Fairmont Chateau unless you have room reservations, and a key. lol You shared your adventure so well and I loved all the beautiful photos. Where too next? I'll be waiting for your story! Jill

Thanks, Jill. Glad you liked it! We don't have any more big trips planned before the end of the year, but I'll have a story or two to share anyway. We're starting to plan next year's adventures, so stay tuned!
